Black Bear Sculling, under the direction of Steve Wagner, offers week long programs in sculling for all ages and abilities on a beautiful stretch of the Connecticut River in Hanover, New Hampshire.
Steve Wagner has built and directed very successful and popular sculling programs for the past 30 years. In our ninth year in Hanover, he has once again assembled an outstanding coaching staff for the 2012 season. Black Bear Sculling is known for providing outstanding coaching in a relaxing, supportive, and fun environment. Our youngest camper is 8 years old, and our oldest is 80. We have had beginners of all ages as well as many top scullers, from youth to masters, come to Hanover to be part of our program.
The Chieftain Inn in Hanover, New Hampshire is the home of Black Bear Sculling. All guest rooms have private bath, and the grounds offer beautiful views of the Connecticut River and mountains of Vermont. The food is healthy, plentiful, and one of the many highlights of Black Bear Sculling.
The quaint town of Hanover and the campus of Dartmouth College is less than a mile from the Inn. The town and campus offer great shops, restaurants, libraries, museums, and a movie theater for everyone in the family.
Black Bear Sculling is easily accessible by car, airplane, train, and bus. Guests can be picked up or dropped off at the bus station or Amtrak Train Station in White River Junction, VT, just a 5 minute drive from Hanover.
